India vs Australia | Happy to contribute to team’s success, expresses Jasprit Bumrah
After winning the Man of the Match award in the third Test match at the MCG against Australia, Jasprit Bumrah has mentioned that he is really happy as his performance helped the team in the victory. The Gujarat pacer picked up six in the first and three in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test.
The visiting Indian team defeated Australia by a margin of 137 runs in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the four-match Test series Down Under. Bumrah played a crucial role in this win for the Indian team as the pacer picked up a total of nine wickets while the Indian pace trio claimed 15 total wickets among themselves in the game.
The 25-year-old Gujarat pacer made his debut for India in 2016 in ODIs against Australia but had to wait for a couple of years before getting a Test call-up earlier this year against the Proteas in Cape Town Test. Making his debut earlier this year, Bumrah has scalped 48 wickets so far in his Test career as he played matches in South Africa, England and Australia in his debut year in white clothes. He will aim to start the next year on a good note from the Sydney Test against the Aussies.
