After winning the 2018 IPL on Sunday against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Dwayne Bravo has insisted that having experienced players with CSK helped them in crunch situations. He also hailed Shane Watson’s century and claimed that Watson was a class act and he batted on one leg after his hamstring injury.

Back in the league after a two-year ban and playing almost all of their home games away from home, Dwayne Bravo stated that Chennai Super Kings held their nerves in crunch situations which helped the team to lift the third Indian Premier League (IPL) title after thrashing Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets here on Sunday.

"It has been good. This is a special moment. The team did not play together for the last two years. We had to move from Chennai after one game. For most of the guys, this is their first time. We were able to keep focus and do it. Nothing is better than winning finals," Bravo said after the game as reported by TOI.

"We always said the experience will help in crunch times. (Shane) Watson batted on one leg and despite the hamstring, his experience helped him. Watson is a world-class player."

Watson smashed an unbeaten 57-ball 117 to single-handedly take the game away from Hyderabad chasing 179 for victory. While Shane Watson described this IPL as a special one for him, Ambati Rayudu explained of being fortunate to be with a franchise like Chennai Super Kings. Young South African pacer Lungi Ngidi added that it was a roller coaster of emotions and he will go down to South-Africa as a far better bowler after playing in so much pressure situations which is electrifying as well as a learning experience.

"It's been a roller coaster of emotions. Good to come away with a win and lucky to be part of an IPL winning side. Not many people get to experience such a moment. It's lovely to have the death bowling responsibility on your shoulders and take it in your stride, one ball at a time in a pressure situation and it is great to help the team win," said Ngidi who played in the Indian Premier League for the first time.
