Indian pacer Khaleel Ahmed has stated that playing in the Indian Premier League helps young players as they constantly interact with the best in the business and get to know a lot of things beforehand. Ahmed has performed really well in the two T20 matches against the Windies held recently.
It has been a good year for the young Khaleel Ahmed as after making an impressive debut in the Asia Cup the left arm pacer has consistently managed to impress the critics. In a short career of six ODI matches the youngster has already picked eleven wickets at an average of 24. The pacer from Tonk has revealed that playing in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) has helped him immensely.
“It’s a big help if you are a part of the IPL. You’re already sharing dressing rooms with a lot of international players and hence you’re constantly learning. So when you come into the Indian team, you have already (played like) a professional. You know how to correct your mistakes, which is why I feel IPL is a massive help,” said Khaleel on Tuesday.
