Sometimes even the best people in the business make silly errors on live television. Former cricketer and experienced TV commentator Rameez Raja mistook the identity of Pakistan wicket-keeper Mohammed Rizwan as Sarfraz Ahmed after the former was involved in the dismissal of Glenn Maxwell.

Pakistan succumbed to a disheartening 80-run loss at the hands of Aaron Finch & Co. in the third ODI and a brilliant 90 from Finch led the visitors to a total of 266/6 before Shoaib Malik-led Pakistan failed to chase down the score and were eventually bowled out for 186 in 45 overs. However, there was an interesting incident that occurred towards the end of the first innings when the Australians were at the crease that is sure to make you have a laugh or two. Justin Langer’s boys were 241/5 after 47 with Junaid Khan brought into the attack. With Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey at the crease, the Aussies hoped to cross the 280-run mark in the next three overs. But Junaid had other plans.

After conceding a boundary off the third delivery through Maxwell, Junaid got revenge off the final ball of the over to dismiss the Australian all-rounder. It was a slower delivery from Khan and Maxwell was through with the pull shot early but ended up missing it altogether, but decided to run for it anyway.

As the Aussie looked to sneak in a quick single, Rizwan was vigilant enough to collect the ball quickly and nailed the direct hit. However, former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja who was in the commentary box during that time ended up making a silly blunder. The former Pakistan batsman mistook Rizwan for Sarfraz Ahmed. Raja gave Ahmed the credit for Maxwell’s dismissal when he should have been congratulating Rizwan.
