Jasprit Bumrah has mentioned that he was not panicking at all during the IPL final against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday which Mumbai Indians won by one run in the last over. Bumrah put up a stunning show with the ball for the champions and was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant spell.

Like always, Bumrah was a key player in Mumbai’s victory against Chennai in the IPL final this year. Bumrah ended up with figures of 2/14 in four overs which also included the wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo. The pacer’s death over heroics ensured a victory for the Indians as he conceded only eight runs combined in the 17th and 19th over which took the game into the last over. Eventually, Lasith Malinga used his experience to stop the Super Kings from going past the line by defending nine in the final one.

Bumrah was delighted after winning the title for his side and said that he was very calm throughout the match against the Super Kings in Hyderabad yesterday.

“Very happy. In the finals we know that it can get close and winning the title with MI is a special feeling. Today, surprisingly, I was very calm, I wasn't panicking at all and very happy to contribute to the team's success. I only take one ball and one day at a time and if you think like that you don't feel pressure at all,” Man of the Match Bumrah said during the presentation ceremony.

Not only Bumrah, Kiwi pacer Mitchell McClenaghan also expressed his happiness after the victory. He recalled the final between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant which was played at this venue a couple of years ago. That was a thrilling contest as well and went till the last ball to decide the winner and Mumbai were crowned the winners then as well. The left-armer credited the support staff for their efforts that they have put in throughout the season.

“I am so proud of the whole squad. Our back room staff. They were exceptional. They worked day in day out and didn't complain. The last final we played here too felt like it never ended. We pulled it back and gave it back. It was one of the best finals to watch on TV against a great opposition (CSK) who had an outstanding tournament,” Mitchell McClenaghan said after winning the title with MI again.
