Ebadot Hossain was stand out among his teammates as he bagged the wickets of danger men Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara in his 12-over spell. While he was seen sending off both his scalps with a Sheldon Cotrell-like salute, there was a point when he gave an ovation to Virat Kohli.

While the cricketing world is aware of Windies bowler and ex-army man Sheldon Cottrell and his salutes, we now have another cricketer who has adopted the same kind of send-offs. Like in Cottrell’s case, Hossain too has a history behind his manner. Before getting recognized in a pace bowling competition conducted by the BCB, Hossain had joined the Bangladesh Air Force as a volleyball player in 2012.

While Hossain’s recurrent salutes were well talked of, there was another highlight in his spell that might have gone unnoticed. It was probably the best sportsmanship moment of the historic Day-Night Test match so far. Into the third over his spell, the medium-pacer was smashed for a signature cover drive by the Indian skipper.

The beauty and perfection of Kohli’s favourite shot were acknowledged by the bowler who diligently clapped as the beautifully-placed ball raced towards the boundary. At Stumps Day 1 in Kolkata, Virat Kohli remained unbeaten at 59 while his deputy Rahane was at 23 not out off 22.

This is what happened! Great display of sportsmanship!

But this wasn't the only thing that caught the attention of the Twitterati!

Looks like someone has been watching a lot of Cottrell salute celebrations!

In time maybe!

Ebadat was also the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh today!

Who would've thought!

2nd time today!

He might've gone for runs, but he picked important wickets!

It was a great sight! The stumps cartwheeling after beating the batsman completely!

This is why he does the salute!
