Virat Kohli is one of the finest batters in world cricket but since 2019, the former Indian captain has been unable to score a hundred in any format of the game. However, former Pakistan batter Salman Butt feels those who understand the game know that Virat Kohli is an institution himself.

Virat Kohli has dominated world cricket for over a decade now and is one of the best batters in the game. Kohli has struggled with his form for quite some time now and has not scored a century in any format of the game since 2019. Yet, he is still regarded as one of the greatest batters to have ever played the game by fans and former cricketers. The former RCB skipper did not have a great IPL which has led to more concerns regarding his form.

Former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt talked about Virat Kohli and praised him for the way he has performed over the years. “The ones who understand the game know that Kohli is an institution in himself. The way he has performed and carved himself into a role model as an athlete, as a batter and as a captain, he has an exemplary stature,” Salman Butt said on his official YouTube channel.

“Virat has set such high standards for himself that fifties in eight of his last 14 matches went unnoticed. People think that he isn’t in form because he got into the habit of scoring centuries. He will be back in form for the good of cricket,” he added.

Virat Kohli has taken a break from cricket and will not be a part of the Indian team for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa which begins on June 9, 2022. The first match will be played at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi.
