A cricketer's reflexes are their silent guardians on the field, eagerly waiting to pounce on every opportunity that comes their way. Sanju Samson showcased remarkable reflexes by replicating a similar feat in the game between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab running out Liam Livingstone in Mullanpur.

Rajasthan Royals were right in the hunt following the toss as they managed to dismiss Punjab opener Atharva Taida in the fourth over. The woe persisted for Punjab as Prabhsimran Singh continued his poor form this season and got out in the seventh over with the scorecard at 42/2. PBKS' struggle continued as they lost two more wickets in the form of Jonny Bairstow and Sam Curran with the score reading at 53/4 in 10 overs. However, with Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone’s 33 runs stand and Ashutosh Sharma and Harpreet Brar’s 25 runs stand in the second half, the host finished with 147/8. However, towards the end of Punjab’s batting, Sanju Samson did something extraordinary to get Sharma out.

On the fifth ball of the 18th over, Chahal sprayed a fuller one at the middle and leg that impact sub-Ashutosh Sharma heaved towards deep mid-wicket pocket. Tanush Kotian at the deep steam made a throw at the keeper’s end with Liam Livingstone being sent back by Ashutosh following a run. While the Englishman tried to get back home, Samson converted a poor throw into a brilliant runout by patting the ball with a deflection onto the stumps. The TV umpire was referred to and the all-rounder was seen marginally short of getting inside the crease.

The Twitterverse applauded Samson’s heroics and drew similarities with MS Dhoni’s wicketkeeping skills.
