The ultimate aim of a sportsperson is to amuse the audience with stunning performances. Kevin Sinclair may not have been able to do so with the ball on the third day of the second Test between West Indies and England but he managed to entertain the crowd with a unique celebration after a catch.

Despite losing four quick wickets in the first season of the moving day, a 71-run tenth wicket stand revived the Windies unit and helped them to earn a 41-run lead after the second innings. With England losing Zak Crawley early in the third innings of the contest, Ollie Pope joined hands with Ben Duckett to stitch an important partnership on a batting-friendly surface in Trent Bridge. With the second-wicket partnership growing past the 100-run mark, the pair intended to play more attacking strokes after the Tea break. In the process, Pope found his way back to the pavilion, courtesy of a regulation catch from Sinclair at gully.

England’s No.3 reached the half-century mark with a single by clipping a fuller ball towards square leg in the 24th over before the umpire changed the duke as it failed to pass through the rim. Right after, Alzarri Joseph came over the wicket and dished a good length delivery at the sixth stump that angled into the right-hander. Pope was drawn into the line for a front-foot drive and incurred an outside edge flying towards gully. Sinclair, stationed there, pouched the ball to his right with a quick reflex to end the 119-run stand. The spinner was seen sprinting around the park in jubilation and engaged in a unique celebration by juggling the ball and facing the crowd with a grin.

As the West Indies are renowned for their unique celebrations on the cricket field, Sinclair’s exuberance stirred the Twitterverse.
