The youngster was stuck in a weird position, and the white cherry seemed to have nicked him en route to the wicketkeeper.

On the TV umpire’s referral, it was vivid that the ball kissed the wristband of Sinclairs that stuck to the gloves, leading to a spark in Ultraedge. Going by the MCC laws, the batter was rightfully dismissed despite a mark of agony written across his face. While the Twitterverse lauded Wood’s brilliance, they felt pity for the Windies all-rounder.
