Testing times often make an individualā€™s going tougher and Indian stalwart Virat Kohli seems to be riding on it. The 35-year-oldā€™s horrid times with the bat further extended as his RCB compatriot Reece Topley produced a jaffa to have the last laugh after being hit for a six in the same over.

Following a rain delay in theĀ ICC World T20's second semi-final, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to field first under tricky conditions. An unchanged Indian side did not hesitate to opt for the same opening combination of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli despite the drought in the opening stand throughout the tourney. It was no different on this day as Reece Topley had the final laugh after being hit for a six by Virat Kohli in the third over.Ā

Having faced five deliveries to get off the mark, Kohli broke the shackles by slamming a six on an over-pitched delivery from Topley in the second ball of the third over. Two balls later, the left-arm pacer dragged the length back and jagged the ball into the batter. Kohli intended to shimmy down the track and whip it to negate it but ended up getting beaten on the inside edge and hearing the deathā€™s knell. As the ball crashed onto the top of the leg stump, Kohli was seen utterly frustrated for not being able to make a mark on the big stage. Seeing the fuming expressions from the former Indian captain as he strolled back to the dressing room, the Twitterverse exploded.
