AUS vs ENG | Twitter in splits with Ben Stokes’ theatrics after edge flies through slip cordon
Ben Stokes is that sort of a player who wears his heart on his sleeve, and the all-rounder was the centre of attention during the second Test against Australia in Brisbane. The England skipper was utterly disappointed as the ball flew through the slip cordon after being cut by Josh Inglis.

After dismissing England for 334 early in the second day of the second Test in Brisbane, Australia took control of the game with an excellent batting display in the first two sessions. Opener Jake Weatherald, Marnus Labuschagne and skipper Steve Smith all scored half-centuries as the home side reached within 43 runs of the England total.
But Brydon Carse turned the match on its head with wickets of both set batters in the 57th over to bring the visitors back into the contest. The pacer first castled Cameron Green before packing off the Aussie skipper two balls later, courtesy of Will Jacks' stunning one-handed catch, to have the hosts at 292/5.
The hosts found it difficult with England skipper Ben Stokes also bowling his heart out from the other end. The all-rounder bowled a fullish delivery that swung away lately after pitching outside off stump with new batter Josh Inglis accepting the bait.
But fortunately, the ball flew between the second slip and gully to reach the boundary cushion to keep Inglis at the crease. With Stokes not putting an extra slip in place, Inglis got lucky again in the pacer’s next over.
With the length shortened and enough width given, the batter took full advantage with a fierce cut, with the ball once again going past the cordon after hitting high on the bat. Stokes was heartbroken as he sat on his knees, going through a range of emotions, contemplating his misfortune.
Stokes could not believe it as he complained to himself, but the pink cherry went far away from Harry Brook, who was stationed at second slip. Twitter was in splits as Stokes’ folly of not having an extra fielder came back to bite him.
Stokes is done!

200% isn't enough
Ben Stokes gives his 200% for this team. I haven't seen any other player doing that for his team. What a gem. What a teammate to have.
