Fans are now waiting for Sunday, as India starts its next T20 World Cup campaign. After a long time, India will be entering an ICC event as the defending champions. Moreover, India is also hosting the T20 World Cup this time, along with Sri Lanka, which makes them one of the strong contenders to win the title.

Right before the tournament, the team was greeted with a special good luck video. This video is presented to them by the India Women's team, who were the winners of the Women's World Cup 2025. With India winning three ICC titles over the last two years, the team would also want to defend the T20 World Cup successfully.

The video of India Women's team wishing good luck to the men's team has gone viral all over the internet. It begins with a moment of Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Harmanpreet Kaur together. This happened in an event in Mumbai, where the Indian captains met each other.

Rohit Sharma stood there with the T20 World Cup trophy, while Harmanpreet Kaur stood with the Women's World Cup trophy. Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian T20I captain, stood in the middle, as he now waits for the upcoming tournament. This moment shows the captains with whom Sky has been surrounded, which makes him eager to also be the one with a title.

Following this, the India Women's team skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur said, “From One Champion to Another Champion.” This was a moment of appreciation to Suryakumar Yadav for his outstanding captaincy in the T20I format. She also wished good luck to Suryakumar Yadav and the Indian team for the tournament.

After the skipper, the other players of the Women's team also made appearances to the same. Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, and many more wished good luck to the Indian team. With the tournament taking place in India, even the Women's team want the players to retain the title and bring another cup.

The Indian team has been dominant in the ICC tournaments lately, and it all started with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Since that tournament started, the Indian team has managed to win three tournaments, and now aim for the T20 World Cup 2026.

After the T20 World Cup 2024, India again went on to dominate in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India was able to continue its undefeated streak in the ICC events. The team defeated Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand to eventually reach the semi-final stages.

In the semi-final, India went against the 2023 World Cup final ghosts, Australia. With Virat Kohli’s brilliance, the team was able to win the game and reach the finals. Rohit Sharma, the skipper, showed his impressive skills to chase the total, which eventually helped India to win their second ICC title since 2024.

In 2025 alone, the Indian team was able to win two ICC titles. After the Champions Trophy, the Indian team also hosted the Women's World Cup. It was the right time for the Women's team to win their first ever World Cup title. They were barely able to make it to the semi-final stages, finishing the league stages at fourth spot.

Shafali Verma showcased her aggressive batting skills in this game, which allowed India Women's team to win its first ever Women's World Cup.
