Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the star for Rajasthan Royals once again. He went on to score 93 runs off 38 balls in a 221-run chase, to keep his team alive in the playoffs race. After scoring a half-century, he did a celebration by gesturing ‘A’ towards the crowd, as it confused the fans to some extent.

Rajasthan Royals are still alive in the IPL playoffs race, and the main credits for the same goes to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He has been the star for the team this season, and they have now jumped back to the top four in the standings. Yesterday, LSG had hammered the RR bowlers to a great extent, with Marsh and Inglis leading the attack.

Since the target was of 221 runs, Rajasthan Royals needed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at his best. He went on to score 93 runs for the team in just 38 balls, missing out on a well-deserved century. Everyone was shocked, noting the striking skills of Vaibhav, as he also reached close to Chris Gayle’s record of most sixes in an IPL season. Gayle stood with 59 sixes in 2012, as Vaibhav crossed 50 yesterday.

After he completed his half-century, he did a celebration which took the attention. Vaibhav gestured an ‘A’ using his fingers, and fans thought what it could be. But after the game, he said that he just randomly picks his celebrations out of nowhere and he is mainly focused on the game.

Our Take

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to dominate for Rajasthan Royals in this season. While the team has entered the top four of the tournament, they will now have to do well in their final league stage match against Mumbai Indians to reach the playoffs. Still, the qualification of Rajasthan Royals will depend on the results of other teams as well, which makes it quite challenging for them.
