Indian Super League’s star striker Ferran Corominas has said that he has got over the ISL final disappointment and is only focusing on the AIFF Super Cup now. The FC Goa striker also heaped praise on I-League side Chennai City FC after they advanced to the Super Cup semis after beating Bengaluru FC.

FC Goa’s second successive season under Sergio Lobera saw the Gaurs reaching the playoffs for the second time in a row. However, despite going ahead a step and reaching the final this time, Goa narrowly lost to Bengaluru FC to an extra time goal by Rahul Bheke.

Corominas, who became ISL’s all-time leading goal scorer last season by taking his tally to 34, couldn’t get a shot on target on the full final match against BFC in Mumbai. The striker has stated that the team lost because they wanted to dictate things too much but also assured that he wasn’t thinking about ISL anymore.

“In that game, I think we to take control. But it was bad luck that Bengaluru scored at the death. ISL is over now and I don’t care about it anymore. It’s time to look forward to Super Cup. We have a good chance to win this competition,” said Corominas reported Sportstar.

However, the Spaniard has got back to scoring ways in AIFF Super Cup and on Saturday scored the winning goal in a seven-goal thriller against Jamshedpur FC that Goa won 4-3 in Bhubaneswar. Coro, who has now scored two goals in two matches, will see his team play Chennai City FC next who beat ISL champions BFC to advance to the semis. And Coro has heaped praise on the side for their style of play.

“I watched them play against Bengaluru. I had never seen this team before. I really liked their play. They attack with a lot of quality and play good football. It will be a difficult game but we can play as well,” he added.
