Reports | Paul Pogba fails to show up for Manchester United’s pre-season friendly
Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba has failed to show up for the team flight to South Wales on Friday, despite being included in the official travelling party. The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months, with Real Madrid amongst his top suitors.
In yet another twist to the saga, Paul Pogba has made a fresh attempt to try and force his way out of Old Trafford this summer. The Daily Mail reports that the French international failed to turn up for a team flight to South Wales on Friday, despite him being included in the official travel party.
The report further adds that the Red Devils’ official reason is that he has aggravated a back injury suffered in training. The former Juventus midfielder has been itching for a move away and had to watch as his move to Barcelona disintegrated last season after Ed Woodward refused to let him go.
Since then, Pogba has revealed on multiple occasions that he is looking for a new challenge and has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer. While no move has materialized yet, thanks to the £150 million tag that Manchester United have put on the Frenchman’s head, it seems that the 26-year-old has taken things into his own hands.
The Daily Mail further adds that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has been trying to engineer a move for the Frenchman, with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane very keen making him a Galactico.
