Reports | Inter Milan give Mauro Icardi an ultimatum
Inter Milan have given striker Mauro Icardi an ultimatum, telling the Argentine to leave the club or watch as they freeze him out. The 26-year-old has two years left on his current deal with the Nerazzurri and has been in a contract dispute with the club, which has seen them look for other options.
The end is near for Mauro Icardi and his time at Inter Milan, with the Nerrazzurri reportedly ready to freeze out the Argentine at the club. Football Italia has reported the Serie A giants are ready to do nothing but bench the former Barcelona striker unless he decides to leave the club. The 26-year-old and Inter Milan are in a serious contract dispute, which has seen Inter look elsewhere.
They’ve been linked seriously with moves for Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko, but whether or not they add a new striker this summer, Icardi’s time at San Siro is over. New boss Antonio Conte has already revealed that he has no place in his new-look Inter for Icardi, despite the 26-year-old desperate to stay and prove himself.
Conte also said the same of Radja Naingolann, with the former AS Roma star set to leave for Cagliari this summer. Football Italia does further add, however, that to avoid legal issues, Icardi will be included in both the Champions League and the Serie A squads, but will not be picked.
Napoli are potentially his last hope, with them reportedly still interested in a move for the Argentine, with a new contract for Arkadiusz Milik unsigned by the Polish striker.
