Can't expect Eden Hazard to do what Cristiano Ronaldo did, believes Predrag Mijatovic
Former Galactico Predrag Mijatovic has come out to say that it is unrealistic to believe Eden Hazard can have the same kind of impact as Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid expect the newly acquired Hazard, who was injured at the start of the season, to finally make his debut in La Liga.

A thigh injury prevented Eden Hazard from playing his first two matches in Real Madrid colours, after leaving Chelsea this summer. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the Los Blancos believe that Belgian International will finally make his debut this weekend as the club looks eager to bounce back following a disappointing draw with Real Valladolid.Â
Belgiumâs national team manager, Roberto Martinez, has told Het Nieuwsblad, âMy feelings are positive with Eden because he always wants to play. Also, generally, he recovers quickly and well. If he plays at Villarreal we could count on him.âÂ
Despite all the fanfare surrounding Hazardâs move to Real, former Galactico Predrag Mijatovic believes it is unrealistic to believe Hazard to fill Cristiano Ronaldoâs shoes. Over a period of 9 years at the Bernabeu, Ronaldo has scored an astonishing 450 goals in 438 appearances for Los Blancos, and Mijatovic thinks Ronaldoâs feat at the club can never be repeated.Â
While speaking to Goal.com, Mijatovic said âHazard is a very good player, for sure. He is one of the best players in Europe, but, in my opinion, we canât expect him to do what Cristiano Ronaldo did. In my opinion, itâs impossible â there is no player who can play like Ronaldo. The pressure at Madrid is different to the pressure at Chelsea and you need some time to handle that.â
â is still a big team, with big players. The new players who came in, they have to adapt â thatâs normal at such a big club. This season probably wonât be easy â itâs never easy at Madrid with the pressure. But Iâm very optimistic that theyâll compete for titles, this wonât change.â
