Reports | AC Milan to consider a move for Manchester United star Eric Bailly
Manchester United star Eric Bailly has been targeted by AC Milan with the Rossoneri coach Marco Giampaolo looking to add reinforcements. The San Siro side have been linked with a move for Dejan Lovren but Liverpool’s asking price has seen AC Milan adjust their course and look for alternatives.
AC Milan are considering a move for Manchester United star Eric Bailly as the Rossoneri look to improve their side before the start of the Serie A season. The Daily Mail has reported that Bailly has become their top target with Liverpool’s asking price for Dejan Lovren not adjustable. The Reds are open to selling the Croatian center-back but want at least €20 million for him.
That combined with his €5 million per year salary makes the move financially tough for AC Milan and alternatives in the form of Bailly have been looked at. New boss Marco Giampaolo is looking for an experienced center-back to partner star Alessio Romagnoli and believes that a Premier League center-back is his answer.
To make things even easier for the Rossoneri, Eric Bailly has just one year left on his current deal with Manchester United and has been linked with a move away since January. Arsenal and Tottenham were amongst his top suitors, but no move has materialized as yet. This does give AC Milan a chance especially if the Red Devils manage to bring in Harry Maguire, as it would allow the Old Trafford side to let Bailly go.
