Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel wants to keep Neymar Jr., even though the Brazilian is unhappy with his situation at the club and wants to leave. PSG star Marco Verratti has further admitted that the club should let the superstar leave if he doesn't want to commit his future too them.

Neymar has been heavily linked with a move back to Barcelona even though it has been just a couple of years since he left Nou Camp for France. It's seen Barcelona’s president Joseph Maria Bartomeu confirming that he is aware of Neymar’s situation. But he has also confirmed that he's aware of PSG’s desire to keep the Brazilian and that as things stand the move seems quite unfeasible.

The Catalan giants have a few options when it comes to buying Neymar which includes a £200 million bid or a direct swap of certain players including Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti. Both moves have been rejected by the Ligue 1 giants, as manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he would like to keep Neymar at the club, despite PSG sporting director Leonardo claiming that the Brazilian is allowed to leave.

Tuchel, however, has accepted the situation, going on to say “You must not keep a player who wants to leave. Of course, I would be disappointed to see him go.  I never heard him say that he wanted to leave after I don't know what he told the club. But personally, of course, I prefer to see him stay.”

Neymar hasn’t been able to participate in any of the Ligue 1 champions’ pre-season friendlies as he was unable to report for training on time. He showed up a week later with PSG releasing a public statement to condemn his absence stating that the player was absent from the training without any prior notice.

This has promoted team-mate Marco Verratti to say “When a player really wants to leave, the club must let him go, according to the conditions set by the club, of course. But you must not keep a player who wants to leave. Of course, I would be disappointed to see him go. I never heard him say that he wanted to leave after I don't know what he told the club. But personally, of course, I prefer to see him stay."
