FC Goa have managed to rope in their record goal-scoring forward, Ferran Corominas, for one more year after he ended the previous season with 16 goals to his name. After helping his team finish runner-up in the Indian Super League, Coro lifted the Hero Cup title by beating Chennaiyin FC in final.

FC Goa continued their player retention process without fail with the latest name to extend his stay with the Gaurs being Corominas. Introduced to the Indian fans on the first season of Sergio Lobera, Corominas had scored 18 goals creating a frenzy and making a mark in the league.

Last season was no different with Coro scoring 16 goals and becoming the all-time highest goal-scorer after he went past Iain Hume. Apart from winning the Golden Boot for the second successive time, Coro has been quite handy in creation as well with as many as 12 assists registered to his name in 40 Hero ISL appearances.

Though the league has still been evading the Gaurs despite two back-to-back good performances and coming very close to winning the title, Coro would not be ending his journey with the club before winning it. Goa have already retained last season’s star Ahmed Jahouh and Brandion Fernandes and have brought in exciting winger Seiminlen Doungel to further bolster their squad.
