After a difficult few months for Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United striker has revealed that the worst is behind him and he’s on the way back to his best. The Three Lions star has endured a tough time in front of goal but with nine goals in his last ten games, things are looking up for him.

With Anthony Martial injured for a large part of the season already, it had a detrimental effect on Manchester United and more importantly on Marcus Rashford. The 22-year-old struggled to cope without his strike partner and that showed with Rashford netting just one goal. However, with the Frenchman’s return things have changed for the English star and he’s netted nine goals in his last ten games for club and country.

A large portion of that run has been down to the fact that Rashford has gotten a consistent run of games for both club and country. The Red Devils star has played in nearly every game so far, which has changed things and the 22-year-old admitted that it has played a part. The striker also went on to reveal that his tough period is now behind him and things are looking up for him.

"It has been a tough period and now I'm getting consistent games and playing week in, week out. As a forward that has huge importance. If you are not in the team and you're in and out, you don't quite have that confidence in front of goal. But when you're having a run in the team it's important to come up with the goods and once you start doing that it becomes second nature," said Rashford told ESPN.

This has been touted as one of England’s best squads in recent years with the Three Lions favourites for the 2020 Euros. But that hasn’t stopped Gareth Southgate from tinkering with his squad through the 2020 Euro qualification stages and Rashford has admitted that every player is very important as each person adds something else to the squad. The 22-year-old also admitted that being in two tournaments for the Three Lions has made him realise that they need different characters to handle different opponents.

"I have been in two tournaments now and the squad is so important. With the qualities that every individual has in this team it is something we have to use to our advantage. People are going to be playing at different moments but when you are on the pitch you have to do your best, and try to come up with the goods. It is good competition," he added.
