Jadon Sancho dropped by Borussia Dortmund ahead of crucial Bundesliga tie
Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho has been shockingly dropped by Borussia Dortmund ahead of their mammoth Bundesliga clash with Borussia Monchengladbach. Sancho reportedly returned late to the Dortmund squad and that has forced Lucien Favre to leave the English starlet out of the squad.
The Daily Mail has reported that Jadon Sancho has been dropped by Borussia Dortmund squad for their match against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday after he reportedly joined late from the international duty. It is being claimed that he has faced punishment for his misconduct and it is unclear whether his snub will continue beyond this weekend's game the Daily Mail further added.
The 19-year-old has faced punishments in the past as well as he was dropped from the U-23 squad by former Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Stoger after arriving late to the training several times in 2017-18. Jadon Sancho was an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s squad against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. Sancho has instantly hit the ground running at Borussia Dortmund since moving from Manchester City.
The starlet’s rise at Dortmund has seen him being linked with a move away to the Premier League with Manchester United and Manchester City known admirers for the teenage star. Former employers Manchester City and Champions League winners Liverpool have also been linked with the winger. Jadon Sancho has been in superb form this season scoring 4 goals and 7 assists so far.
He has also featured in England's international games against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria before returning later than agreed to Dortmund. Borussia Dortmund assistant manager Jorg Heinrich recently conceded Sancho is likely to leave the club within the next two seasons. Jadon Sancho’s amazing performances have seen his stock rise and has alerted Premier League clubs about his exceptional performances.
