Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have been unable to work out a deal for Brazilian superstar Neymar and the deal has been called off. After a summer of constant speculation, it seems that Neymar is set to stay at PSG, despite heavy interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid throughout the window.

After a tedious summer, it seems that Neymar will not be returning to Barcelona before the closure of the transfer window on 2nd September. The Brazilian forward has agreed to stay at the French capital for the rest of the season and has told his former Barcelona teammates the same, reports Sky Sports.

The Catalan giants have shown a lot of interest to get the deal done for their former star this summer, and after Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez’s injuries, the Brazil international looked destined to make a dramatic return. However, negotiations between the two sides have not gone well, with PSG adamant that they will not be bullied into selling their prized asset.

Neymar is now set to travel to Miami to join Brazil's squad and it is believed that the 27-year-old is now getting ready to fulfil the remainder of his contract at PSG. The forward’s inclusion back into the PSG squad will be good news for manager Thomas Tuchel, especially with star forwards Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbapppe out with various injuries.
