LOSC Lille owner Gerard Lopez has confessed that the interest for Victor Osimhen has been real with the club receiving multiple offers for the striker. The 21-year-old has had a brilliant debut season and the reports have indicated that the Nigerian could be on the move again less than a year later.

With LOSC Lille losing star Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal and Rafael Leao to AC Milan last summer, two players who contributed to 45 goals last season, many wondered how the club would replace the two men's goals this season. But that hasn’t been the slightest problem for the Ligue 1 side with Loic Remy and Pepe’s replacement Victor Osimhen going above and beyond for Lille this season. While few were surprised by Remy’s performances, it was Osimhen that has shocked a few with the Nigerian excelling in his debut season.

The former VFL Wolfsburg striker has been exceptional for the club and has thrived in his debut season in both France and the Champions League. In just 38 appearances, the 21-year-old has contributed to 24 goals, scoring 18. It has seen the interest in Osimhen rise day by day despite football suspended because of a pandemic. But LOSC Lille owner Gerard Lopez has confirmed that there have been offers for the striker and despite the situation, the club won’t settle on a cut-price deal.

"We turned down one English and one Spanish offer this January transfer window. There is a wide array [this summer] and I wouldn't want to give the names of the clubs who are bidding but what I can tell you is that there are multiple . There are three championships that have clubs that have bid for him,” Lopez told the Daily Mail.

"I am not being a sales guy because last year people didn't believe that we had the offers we had with Pepe and it turns out we had multiple of them. Let me tell you with Osimhen, it is the same thing, whatever number you heard, the high number I have read is very much on the money of the offers that we have received. That's where we are."
