Tottenham Hotspur's worries doesn’t seem to end this season, with a 0-1 loss against Leicester City at home making things worse for them. Statistically, Spurs outwitted the Foxes in almost every department of the game, apart from the one that mattered at the end of the day.

Tottenham Hotspur 0 -1 Leicester City

Tottenham Hotspur will be kicking themselves for not making the most of their opportunities with them eventually losing a game that they should have salvaged for at least a point. The match was crucial for both the teams, with the Foxes looking to stay in 3rd place, while Spurs looked to climb up the ladder. Tottenham’s possessional play turned out to be ineffective in the first half, as Leicester City had the rub of the green and created more and better offensive moves.

The first-half, as a whole, did not have much to boast about, with Spurs taking 5 shots at the goal, keeping 1 on target. Meanwhile, the away team had much more intent in their attacks, shooting 7 at the goal, keeping 3 on target, out of which they scored 1 just three minutes before the break. The North-Londoners had plenty to talk about, especially with them going into the break with a goal down.

On the backfoot, Spurs did not shy away from the offensive route in the second half and they executed their plan almost perfectly, but the goals simply never seemed to hit the net to them. They managed to take 6 shots on goal in the second period, but none of them were threatening. The Foxes, on the other hand, were subdued in the second half of the game but managed to hold onto the lead and walk away with full points from the fixture.
