We have to win every game and there’s no margin for error, postulates Luiz Diaz
Luiz Diaz has asserted that Liverpool have to win every upcoming fixture in order to achieve a historic quadruple and insisted that the Merseyside club has no margin for error as they enter the crucial part of the season. The Columbian has made a significant impact since joining the club in January.
It has already been a successful season for Liverpool as they have won the Carabao Cup this season but Jurgen Klopp will not be happy with stopping there as he aims to lead his side to a potential historic quadruple. The Merseyside club is also one step closer to claiming FA Cup glory after they beat Manchester City in the semi-finals of the competition and will participate in the final in May. Not only that, the Reds are in the mix of winning the Champions League as they play Villarreal in the semi-finals this upcoming week.
Plus they are a key part of the Premier League title race and it is sure to come down to the wire as City and Liverpool battle it out with the Merseyside club just one point behind with six games to go. Jurgen Klopp earlier downplayed suggestions that his side could go on to achieve the historic feat as he pointed out the difficulty of securing the objective although Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has insisted that the quadruple can be won if the squad plays to their full potential.
“We know that we’re pretty much obliged to win every game between now and the end of the season and we know there’s no margin of error for us. Each competition is different, each trophy is different and every game is different within those competitions, particularly in the Premier League. We’re treating every one like a final and we know what we’ve got to do,” Diaz told the club website.
“If and when the coaching staff need to call upon me, of course I’ll be ready and willing at all times. So, here’s hoping I can carry on in the same way, playing well and performing in the right manner so that things go well for the team. I’m here to help,” he added.
