Reports | AS Roma set €65 million price tag for Nicolo Zaniolo amidst interest from Italy
According to Giallorossi.net, AS Roma have set a €65 million price tag on Nicolo Zaniolo’s head amidst interest from AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus this summer. The 22-year-old has two years left on his current deal and the Giallorossi are open to letting the attacking midfielder leave.
While Nicolo Zaniolo arrived at AS Roma as a highly-rated teenager, the Italian’s ACL tear in September curtailed his development immensely. So much so, that the now 22-year-old missed the entire 2020/21 season through injury and illness before making his comeback at the start of the 2021/22 term. However, it hasn’t been the same with more than a few niggles and other issues affecting Zaniolo although that didn’t stop him from contributing to seventeen goals across all competitions.
It has seen the 22-year-old attract attention from across Europe but reports have indicated that AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus are the three frontrunners for the Italian. In light of that, Giallorossi.net has revealed that Roma have set a price tag for Zaniolo with them open to selling him should they get an offer of around €65 million. The 22-year-old does have only two years left on his contract but the figure has reported kept all three sides at bay.
AC Milan have reportedly made an offer but it’s well below Roma’s requirements and thus the Giallorossi rebuffed Rossoneri’s bid. However, both Inter Milan and Juventus are weighing up their options although the Nerazzurri are also considering a free-transfer move for Paulo Dybala. But the report has further indicated that Roma don’t want to let Zaniolo leave and are hoping that the lofty price tag scares away any suitors.
