Jaipur Pink Panthers’ coach Srinivas Reddy has stated that his team made a strong comeback in the match and it was really pleasing for him personally to such a performance. It has been a horrible season for the Jaipur Pink Panthers as they have won only two of the seven matches of the season.

It was a match between two teams lingering at the bottom of the table in Zone-A. The Jaipur Pink Panthers managed to come on the top bagging the match 38-32. Deepak Hooda was the star of the match for the Pink Panthers as he picked 12 raid points for his team. The coach of the Panthers Srinivas Reddy seemed ecstatic after his team won the match after a comeback in the match.

“With this win, the happiness of Diwali has entered the Jaipur Pink Panthers family. Not only did Deepak Niwas Hooda play well, it was a complete team effort. We were under a lot of mental pressure after our previous losses but the way we came back today was so pleasing to see. I am very happy with our performance today,” Srinivas Reddy said.

The Pink Panthers next meet U Mumba for their next match on November 9th and the former’ coach hoped that his boys would be able to carry the winning momentum to the next march. The last time both the teams had met in this season U Mumba had beat the Panthers 39-32.

“Every player and team has good and bad days. When a team has a good day, their morale increases ahead of the next match. We will hopefully continue this momentum ahead of our next few matches. Winning makes a player stress free. We have played seven games and have a long way to go. We will try to keep ourselves stress free and go to Mumbai without any pressure,” the coach said.

Anup Kumar had an ordinary game as he picked only two points in the match but he was all praise for the opposition raider Vikas Khandola who got ten points for Haryana Steelers including five through bonuses.

“You cannot plan for a raider in advance, you have to plan during the game as well. Vikash Khandola was raiding excellently today. He got Haryana Steelers a lot of bonus points. Planning for a player like him is difficult. Had he not played so well, we would have won easily, and it wouldn’t have been such a close game,” Anup Kumar stated.

The situation for Haryana Steelers is somewhat similar to the Pink Panther in the points table as they languish at the bottom second place in Zone A with only three wins to show for out of ten outings they have had this season. The coach of the team Rambir Singh Khokhar sounded disappointed with his men as he thought that they should have won the match as they were in lead at one stage of the match

“When we played Jaipur Pink Panthers last time, we suffered a similar close defeat. We were leading by five points at one point and should have closed the match off. Our defence can do better,” Rambir Singh Khokhar said.

“Vikash Khandola has been performing brilliantly for us. In the last five minutes of today’s game though, he couldn’t perform as well as we would have liked him to. Monu Goyat wasn’t up to the mark today either. Naveen came in and gave us some hope. The youngster has been doing brilliantly in his debut season. We need one collective performance from them,” Rambir Singh Khokhar added.
