VIDEO | Bangladesh players vent their frustration after Mustafizur Rahman fails to save easy boundary

It seems like there is no end of Bangladeshi players getting a mouthful from their skipper. While Soumya Sarkar was blasted by Mashrafe Mortaza, Mustafizur Rahman also ended up finding himself at the receiving end of it, but from the entire Bangladesh team for his failure to collect the ball.

Let’s get to the point. After losing the ODI series beforehand, the last thing that the Bangladeshi fans wanted from their team was a terrible fielding performance to give enough leeway to the opposition to dominate them once again. However, if your fielding standard is that terrible, expect nothing better.

On the first ball of the eighth over, Rubel Hossain bowled a short delivery to which Martin Guptill sliced off the top edge. It went flying to the right of third man where Mustafizur was stationed and he seems to have the ball covered. However, only he can explain what he was trying to do as his casual approach saw the ball dribbled past him over the ropes.

It was as easy a fielding opportunity as it could get and there was no way one wouldn’t be able to save it from going to the boundary. However, seeing Rahman’s failure, Hossain couldn’t believe it and was seen standing on the pitch staring at the fielder for a good few seconds. Mortaza, who went on to blast Sarkar in the next over, slammed Rahman for his carelessness and was very livid in his body language.
