Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag extend their bromance to Twitter
Following Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet praising the Indian team on a 178-run win over New Zealand in Kolkata, Sehwag, with his usual wit, got into a funny conversation with the legend on Twitter. National team coach Anil Kumble had also recently admired Sehwag’s use of 140 characters on social media.
Virender Sehwag was always a dangerous bloke for any bowler of the world in his hey days. By taking bowlers apart across the formats of cricket, he carved a distinct niche for himself in world cricket.
After retiring from International and First class cricket last year, Virender Sehwag has been involved in commentary since the T2O World Cup 2016. But more than his humorous commentary and tricky one-liners, his tweets have given him immense popularity of late.
So when Sachin Tendulkar came out praising the National team for their exceptional display against the Kiwis, Sehwag asked his former opening partner to send some praise his way as well referring to the Legendary batsman as “god.” Sachin was more than happy to answer Viru’s “prayers” with a witty reply stating, “Jiyo mere Lala, Tathaaaastuuuuu” which loosely translates as 'have a long life my friend, so be it.'
A spectacular victory by Team INDIA & many congratulations on regaining the no 1 position in the world test cricket!! #INDvNZ

Sehwag, however, wasn't done coming back with a quick reply accusing the 43-year-old of trying to promote the JIO brand that is owned by the owners of Sachin’s IPL team Mumbai Indians, Reliance.
Jiyo mere Lala....🤗🤗🤗Tathaaaastuuuuu!!!😜😜 https://t.co/whyq1pluGn

Legendary spinner and Team India coach Anil Kumble also praised Virender Sehwag yesterday for his popular wit and sarcasm on twitter. While attending a book launch ceremony in Kolkata, Kumble said that Sehwag uses the 140 characters of Twitter in the most effective way by using his sense of humor.
Viru has his own unique way
Speaking at the book launch ceremony to commemorate the journey of 500 Tests of India, Anil Kumble said, “Credit to BCCI that we are playing 13 Test matches at home. And in new centres, where people will want to be involved in Test cricket. At the same time, like I mentioned, it will be a great tool for digital marketing. Viru is the best amongst (all of us) on this stage with 140 characters but all I can say is in this digital era, it's a great platform to promote Test cricket.”
The legend continues to enthrall his fans even after his retirement.
