Reddit: Probable starting XIs for each IPL team after the 2017 auction

A Reddit user has formed the probable starting lineups of each of the teams after the end of the 2017 IPL auction on Monday. All the eight teams are looking fairly strong with their new recruits, however, Delhi Daredevils could be the dark horse this time around with one of the best bowling attacks.

Now that the dust of the madness that was the IPL 2017 auction has settled, a reddit user named thesatansvalet has put up the probable lineups of each of the franchises in a post. Delhi Daredevils’ lineup feature four South Africans in Quinton de Kock, Chris Morris, JP Duminy, and Kagiso Rabada. They certainly boast of one of the best bowling attacks in the league with Amit Mishra, Mohammad Shami, Rabada, and Zaheer Khan in it.

That bowling attack is perhaps only rivaled by Kolkata Knight Riders, whose attack consists of Trent Boult, Umesh Yadav, Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla, Chris Woakes, and Shakib Al-Hasan.

Gujarat Lions, who had a fantastic debut season last time around, will once again field one of the strongest batting lineups in the league. Their new signing Jason Roy, who has been in fantastic form recently, will open with Brendon McCullum with Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Dwayne Bravo, Dinesh Karthik, and Ravindra Jadeja to follow in the middle order.

Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, who bought two Afghani players in the auction, are unlikely to make too many changes to the side which won the title last season. Mohammad Nabi is likely to start though, according to the Reddit post, ahead of their other new signing Chris Jordan in the all-rounder slot.
