India vs England | Stuart Broad sanctioned for disorderly Rishabh Pant send-off
English cricketer Stuart Broad has been fined 15% of his match fee for the send-off he gave Rishabh Pant in India’s first innings of the third Test at Trent Bridge. On the other hand, a demerit point has also been added to his record for the same incident according to ICC’s revised Code of Conduct.

In the 92nd over of India’s innings, Pant inside-edged Broad onto his stumps and was dismissed for 24 on Test debut. According to ICC’s statement, Broad then walked towards Pant and spoke in a disorderly manner to provoke the dismissed batsman.
“(Broad) spoke in an aggressive manner, which had the potential to provoke an aggressive reaction from the dismissed batsman,” ICC stated.
