More often than not, on a cricket field, players start celebrating wickets before realizing that they got it completely wrong. However, the Windies did the exact opposite as they did not even appeal with conviction and had went back to their positions before the third umpire gave his decision.

Chasing a target of 191 in the final of the T20I series, Bangladesh looked to be on their way after scoring 10 runs off the first over. The second over was going there way as well with nine runs coming off just three balls. On the fourth ball of the over, Liton Das played the ball past Robman Powell, who was fielding at square leg, and it looked destined to go to the boundary. However, the Windies star did not give up the chase and managed to stop the ball just before it crossed the ropes. He did the conventional thing and threw the ball to the Shai Hope, who collected it and took off the bails for good measure.

This is where things got interesting. Even though Hope had whipped off the bails he was not interested in appealing for a wicket but the umpire thought it best to go upstairs. Every player on the field looked adamant that Tamim had made it back into the crease with ease. So much so that not only had Tamim already taken the guard at the crease but the Windies players had also made their way back to the fielding positions. Finally, when the third umpire decided to press the red button, did the Windies players realize that they had picked up the first wicket of the innings.
