Reports | Afghanistan to play first-ever Test against India in Bengaluru
The Indian cricket board and the Afghanistan cricket board are expected to make a joint declaration after a meeting on Tuesday that Bengaluru would host Afghanistan’s first ever Test against India in June. Last month, India had announced that the country will host Afghanistan’s maiden Test.

Even in the Indian Premier League, Afghanistan players like Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi got a chance to display their skills and impressed one and all, particularly Rashid who picked up 17 wickets in just 14 matches. They both were the first two Afghani cricketers to play in the cash-rich league which inspired the other players as 13 players from the country registered themselves for the IPL auction on January 27-28 in Bengaluru.
UPDATE: The news has now been confirmed by the BCCI.
