Records and numbers from England’s historic win over Australia
Centuries from Alex Hales (147) and Jonny Bairstow (139) and half-centuries from Jason Roy (82) and Eoin Morgan (67) helped England post the highest ever total in ODI cricket in third ODI against Australia at Trent Bridge on Tuesday. Also, Morgan became the highest run-getter for England in ODIs.

1 - List of totals higher than England's 481 for 6 - 496 for 4 by Surrey against Gloucestershire at the Oval in 2007. Earlier in the day, India A
2 - Andrew Tye became the second Australian bowler to concede 100-plus in an ODI. The only other bowler to do so is Michael Lewis who conceded 113 off his ten overs against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006.
3 - Century partnerships in this innings - 159 between Roy and Bairstow, 151 between Bairstow and Hales and 124 between Hales and Morgan. This is only the third instance of a team hitting three century stands in the same innings. The other sides to achieve this are South Africa against the Netherlands in Basseterre in 2007 and New Zealand against England in Southampton in 2013.
4 - This is the fourth instance of a team putting 150-plus partnerships for each of the first two wickets in an ODI. India did it twice - against Sri Lanka in 2009 and against Australia in 2013 - while South Africa did it against Windies in Johannesburg in 2015.
6 - Hundreds scored by Bairstow - all at a strike rate in excess of 100. Only AB de Villiers (25) and Ijaz Ahmed (10) have scored all their ODI hundreds at a 100-plus strike rate. Shahid Afridi has also scored six centuries all a strike rate above 100. This is Bairstow's fourth century in his last six innings with his scores reading 138, 104, 105, 28, 42 and 139 (last).

62 - Balls taken by Hales to reach his hundred - the sixth fastest in ODIs for England and the fastest for them against Australia. The previous fastest was achieved earlier in the match when Bairstow reached his century off just 69 balls. There is only one other ODI where two batsmen scored centuries in less than 70 balls in the same innings - Corey Anderson and Jesse Ryder against Windies in Queenstown in 2014.

481 for 6 - by England is the highest total in the history of ODI cricket surpassing 444 for 3 by them against Pakistan at the same venue two years ago. It is the highest total against Australia in ODIs surpassing 438 by South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006. The previous highest for England against Australia was 342 for 8 which they scored in the last ODI in Cardiff.
5443 Runs scored by Morgan is the most ever by an England player in all ODI cricket. He went past the previous record held by Ian Bell who had made 5416 runs from 161 matches. In addition, Morgan has scored 744 runs for Ireland from 23 ODIs between 2006 and 2009.
