It’s been a while since the fans have witnessed an animated MS Dhoni, who has always keep his calm on the pitch even in the most strenuous situations. However, he was left flabbergasted after Sam Billings was run out in the penultimate over after the Englishman didn't even try to make his crease.

Dhoni’s antics on the pitch are not something unheard of but the stories of him losing his temper are very rare. Dhoni has been in terrific form this year in the IPL as he has led from the front upon CSK’s return to the tournament after a ban of two years. Dhoni has amassed a total of 393 runs at a strike rate of 163.75 in this year’s edition of the IPL, as CSK find themselves second in the league standings.

However, the elegant Indian wicket-keeper wore his emotions on his sleeve in tonight’s crunch encounter with the struggling Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Rajasthan. After displaying some emotion after he was not awarded a wide in the penultimate over, Dhoni appeared to be furious after teammate Sam Billings gave away his wicket in a silly goof-up in the final over of the innings.

Ben Stoke was bowling to compatriot Sam Billings in the last over of the innings and was looking to bowl yorkers to catch Billings off guard. Another Englishman, Jos Buttler who has been in fine form with the bat has also done a good job behind the stumps. Buttler was quick to collect Stokes’ delivery and throw it towards the stumps as Billings looked to sneak in a quick single to give Dhoni the strike.

But that turned into an epic fail for the English player as he got himself runout in the process and also angered skipper Dhoni who was seen jumping and kicking out in anger at Billings’ failure to even attempt to make his crease. CSK did manage to put up 176 on the board after 20 overs as they set a competitive target of 177 for Ajinkya Rahane an co.
