After Ravichandran Ashwin put Kings XI Punjab in bad light following his Mankad incident, Mohammed Shami rectified it a large extent in the match against Delhi Capitals. After getting slightly disoriented by Kagiso Rabada’s bouncer, Shami fist bumped the bowler on his way back after being run out.

If there is one thing that the Indian Premier League has truly done, it has been bringing cricketers closer from all across the world. Despite the cut-throat competition and immense money involved in the tournament, players are often seen sharing light moments on the field during matches.

One such instance happened in the match between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals, when Punjab were scrapping through their lower order to get every possible run in the last over after a poor batting display. With almost all the batsmen gone, pacer Mohammed Shami was facing fellow pace bowler Rabada.

And quite expectantly, the Punjab bowler saw the short ball coming at a fierce pace and turned away his eye in an attempt to blindly pull the ball. However, the ball had too much pace and the ball hit him on the shoulder and for a second or so, the player looked completely blank. He hardly noticed Mandeep Singh rushing at him to complete the run with the last two balls remaining.

Shami eventually lets Mandeep get to the crease sacrificing his wicket as Rabada quickly took the ball and dismantled the bails on the other end, However, the best part came in the end when Shami just fist bumped Rabada on his way to return to the pavilion acknowledging the fact it was smashing bouncer that he couldn’t play and it was okay.
