India vs New Zealand | Tom Latham recalled for first three ODI matches against India
Tom Latham has been recalled to the 14-man ODI squad that will face-off against India after being rested for the recent series win against Sri Lanka. All-rounder Colin de Grandhomme, along with pacer Tim Southee, will also feature for the home team in the upcoming series that starts next week.
The New Zealand national cricket team recently enjoyed a convincing 3-0 ODI series win against Sri Lanka on home soil. Kane Williamson & Co. will certainly look to build on that victory when Virat Kohli-led India travel to Kiwiland in the coming weeks for a five-match ODI series followed by three T20Is.
New Zealand selectors have recalled the likes of Tom Latham and Colin de Grandhomme to the national squad after they were rested for the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka. Latham, who has played a total of 74 ODIs for the national team, will hope to cement his spot in the squad with the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup in mind.

“Our two main priorities have been to select and prepare a squad capable of winning what is shaping as a massive series against India, and gathering as much information as possible ahead of the World Cup. Tom and Colin are experienced players in this format and will offer quality in their respective roles,” Stead told AFP sources.
Williamson along with premier pacer Trent Boult, who both sat out the T20I win against Sri Lanka last Friday, will return to the squad for the India series as expected. Meanwhile, spinner Mitchell Santner is also included in the 14-man squad as he made a return to the team last week after being sidelined for a period of 10 months due to an injury.
