Michael Vaughan has sarcastically stated that the ICC (International Cricket Council) is partial towards India and its skipper Virat Kohli. The controversy started when the governing body posted an illustration on its official social media handles which had Kohli sitting on a throne.

India defeated South Africa by six wickets in their campaign opener on Wednesday. However, ICC had posted a picture which illustrated Virat Kohli sitting on a throne with a bat in his hand.

ICC's post did not go down well with few of the cricket fans and even Michael Vaughan expressed his displeasure over the same on his Twitter handle. He sarcastically stated, “Nothing like impartiality!”

ICC did not shy away from its criticism and even posted its reply to the former England skipper. The governing body posted screenshots of Kohli’s number one ranking in Tests and ODIs as well as the awards that he received by ICC earlier this year.

Kohli dislodged Steve Smith to attain the top ranking in Tests last year whereas he has been at the top of the ODI rankings for a while now. The batsman also has the second highest number of centuries in international cricket, only behind Sachin Tendulkar, and even swept the ICC Awards earlier this year.
