VIDEO | "Impeccable" Jasprit Bumrah rattles single standing stump thrice in a row
These are extraordinary times for Indian cricket and not because of Virat Kohli, who has maintained India’s tradition of producing one world-class batsman a generation, but Jasprit Bumrah. The MI bowler was seen hitting a single standing stump continuously with lightning accuracy during practice.
While many have been of the opinion that the best aide to skipper Virat Kohli has been his mentor
Making his ODI debut in 2016, Bumrah has bagged an incredible 85 wickets in 49 matches. In Tests too, where he was introduced by the Indian management against too many reservations about his age and inexperience, Bumrah has taken 49 wickets in 10 matches. However, it is with the Mumbai Indians where it all began for the Baroda man and he is the best example of IPL throwing up talents for the national team against the popular opinion.
In a video released by Mumbai Indians very early on Thursday, Bumrah was seen bowling at a single stump in an empty Wankhede Stadium. The bowler took aim at the middle stump with another lying perpendicular to the upright. While batsmen know what Bumrah is all about, the fans surely got a glimpse of the hard work that goes behind the uprooting yorkers they see during the match.
Tonight, you can count s̶h̶e̶e̶p̶ yorkers to sleep 💤😴#CricketMeriJaan #OneFamily @Jaspritbumrah93 pic.twitter.com/ebVnfeh1KS
