Jonny Bairstow has said that England will be batting with the same attacking mindset they have opted for recently in the fourth innings of the one-off Test against India. Bairstow also added that he is enjoying good form after scoring a series of hundreds in New Zealand series and against India.

India have an upper hand in the one-off Test against England currently courtesy of Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja’s century. Indian bowlers bowled well to support their batting performance and the visitors are now leading by 257 runs in their second innings with seven wickets in hand. England bundled out on a low total in the first innings but Jonny Bairstow put a fight for the team. He continued his sublime touch and scored a century to help them cross the 250-run mark.

With the way the Indian team has played so far, England might face a tough target in the fourth innings. Bairstow has said that the team will continue to play positive cricket in the fourth innings as well.

"Whatever is set and we'll go about it as to whatever set. There's no point in looking at figures and everything on that. We know that this, we know we're planning a Test match. We know this is going to be day four and day five pitches that we're going to be playing on. That's okay. And yeah, we'll be going about it in the same manner. And I'm looking to take the game forward." Bairstow said at the end of the day’s play.

Bairstow has been going through the form of his life. He has been England’s consistent run-scorer since Ashes. Also, he looked sublime in the century against India hitting two sixes and 14 boundaries on his way. Reflecting on his knock, Bairstow expressed his joy and satisfaction over the innings.

"Yeah, pretty pleased. I mean, most of the time it's pretty good when, well, good or bad when I have to speak to you guys so ... recently, it's, it's been good. Look, it's been great fun out there and it's part and parcel of Test cricket isn't it? I mean you look at last night."

England will now look forward to bowl out India as quickly as possible and chase the target to level the series.
