Anger may give you a temporary adrenaline rush but it's not a healthy way to dictate a cricket game. Such was the scene in the contest between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals where Mumbai skipper Hardik Pandya lost his cool when Delhi’s Rishabh Pant was eating away too much time for his stance.

Delhi Capitals got off to a flying start thanks to Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel, who propelled them to 92/0 by the end of the powerplay. Fraser-McGurk, in particular, showcased his batting skills with a blistering 84 off just 27 deliveries before departing in the eighth over. However, Porel couldn't maintain the momentum and fell in the 10th over with the score at 128/2. As Rishabh Pant stepped in to bat, his deliberate delay in taking his stance irked Hardik Pandya. The Delhi skipper's slow approach to facing Piyush Chawla in the 11th over seemed to be a tactic to disrupt Mumbai's over rate. Pandya, stationed at long-on, grew visibly frustrated and urged Chawla to alert the umpires about Pant's actions. Earlier, Rohit Sharma had also raised concerns with the umpires regarding Delhi's sluggish batting pace, foreseeing potential consequences for Mumbai's over rate.Twitterati swiftly caught wind of the incident, sparking discussions across social media platforms.
