Time and again, the cricket realm have witnessed several sporting gestures from individuals during a contest. One of those took center stage in the high-octane India-Pakistan clash in New York on Sunday as Mohammed Siraj went up to Mohammad Rizwan after unawarely hurting him inside the powerplay.

Winning the toss and electing to field first worked well for the Pakistan side as their pacer folded India for 119 with an over to spare amidst several rain interruptions at the start. To keep the Men in Blue in the contest, captain Rohit Sharma handed the new ball to Mohammed Siraj alongside Arshdeep Singh and the Hyderabad pacer gained the spotlight in moments.

Conceding just a run in the first five balls, Siraj followed up with a fuller delivery at the stumps that Rizwan played back to the bowler and took a step or two down the strip for a run. However, Siraj grabbed the ricocheting cork and made a shy towards the batter who was compelled to hurry back home. But the throw from the bowler was so bad that the ball went like a tracer bullet and thud at the tricep of Rizwan, thereby hurting the wicketkeeper-batter poorly. Subsequently, the right arm quickly went up to the batter and patted his back in acceptance for his unaware error, thereby triggering the Twitterverse into a chirp.
