Making mistakes is a part of life, but accepting them shows great strength. This was exemplified in the game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Chennai Super Kings when Rachin Ravindra made a humble gesture towards Shivam Dube after being run out during Chennai’s chase.

‌Chasing a target of 219 runs, the Chennai Super Kings had a dismal start with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad departing for a golden duck on the first ball of the innings. Additionally, Daryl Mitchell also failed to make an impact, getting out cheaply in the third over. However, Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra steadied the ship, building a 66-run partnership, with the Kiwi batsman scoring a quick fifty off 31 balls. Unfortunately, Rahane was dismissed in the 10th over, and Rachin followed a few overs later.

On the last ball of the 13th over, Glenn Maxwell delivered a good length ball targeting the leg stump. Meanwhile, Rachin pushed the ball towards deep backward square leg and immediately called for two runs. While Shivam Dube sprinted from the other end, Rachin was slower on the return. Amidst the run, Mahipal Lomror's pinpoint throw to RCB wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik resulted in a swift dislodging of the bails.

Realizing his mistake, Rachin acknowledged it with a gesture towards Dube, indicating that the run-out was his fault. He looked dejected as he walked back to the pavilion, but his humble acceptance of the error was praised widely on Twitter.
