New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets at Bengaluru. After a batting collapse in their first innings, India rebounded with Sarfaraz Khan’s 150 runs, totalling 462 in the second innings while Rachin Ravindra's impressive performance in both innings led New Zealand to a decisive victory.

‌The action-packed four days in Bengaluru reached its climax as Kiwi openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway took to the crease, needing 107 runs for victory. Latham faced Jasprit Bumrah, who struck gold on just the second delivery of the day, dismissing him. Will Young and Conway then kept the scoreboard moving, hitting occasional boundaries. A crucial moment came when Bumrah returned to claim Conway, leaving New Zealand at 43/2 in 13 overs. With Rachin Ravindra joining Young, the Black Caps advanced to 62/2 in 16 overs, needing just 45 runs to win.

The duo continued to build momentum, adding 59 runs as New Zealand needed just 13 more to win. As lunch approached, they required only nine runs, leaving the crowd and the Indian side feeling dejected. Ultimately, Young hit the winning runs, securing an eight-wicket victory for New Zealand and a 1-0 lead in the Test match series.
