When things aren't going your way on the field, it becomes crucial for teammates to work in tandem and capitalize on every opportunity. However, a lapse in coordination between Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel cost the Royals a key moment which resulted in a missed catch of Nehal Wadhera.

‌Chasing 206, Punjab Kings got off to a disastrous start as Jofra Archer struck twice in the opening over, removing both Priyansh Arya and skipper Shreyas Iyer. The early blows set the tone for the innings, and the situation worsened when Marcus Stoinis was dismissed in the fourth over, deepening the trouble for the hosts. Adding to Rajasthan Royals’ frustrations in the field, a crucial chance went begging in the fifth over due to a mix-up between Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel.

On the fourth delivery of the fifth over, , Nehal Wadhera attempted to loft a flighted off-break straight down the ground off Maheesh Theekshana. The ball was mistimed and chipped in the air with Wadhera taking his top hand off the bat at the point of contact. As the catch went up, Jurel sprinted in from long-on and positioned himself under the ball. However, Riyan Parag’s movement into his line of vision appeared to cause hesitation and Jurel ended up missing the opportunity. A visibly frustrated Jurel was seen expressing to Parag that he had called for the catch. The miscommunication didn’t go unnoticed, as fans on social media quickly reacted to the missed opportunity.
