‌MI vs KKR | Twitter cherishes Boult and Chahar’s deadly pairing skittle defending champs in disastrous powerplay

Trent Boult picked the first wicket by castling the stumps with cricket ball.

Swing bowling could be one of the most cherished sides of pace bowling among fans. The pairing of Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar is exactly what any cricket fan would love to see in rhythm, as they outsmarted the Kolkata Knight Riders' top order inside the powerplay in IPL 2025 on Monday.

Like Ajinkya Rahane, their batting order seemed uncertain against the threatening duo of Trent Boult and Sunil Narine. The left and right-arm duo completed each other to outsmart Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock in a jiffy before Ashwani Kumar joined the party to constitute a four-wicket powerplay for Mumbai.

On the fourth ball of the opening over, Trent Boult bowled an away-swinging yorker right on the money that Narine tried to dig. However, the left-hander was nowhere near the line of the ball after trying to make room, missing it completely as the ball crashed onto the timber. In the immediate next over, Deepak Chahar sprayed a length delivery around the fourth stump that swung away from de Kock. The South African prodded forward to loft it over mid off but Ashwani Kumar, positioned inside the 30-yard circle, leaped and grabbed it comfortably. With a couple of wickets following in the 41-run powerplay, the Twitterverse rooted for the swing duo of MI.
