Jacob Bethell has given one of the finest redemption arcs, and it unfortunately came against the Indian team. A few months back in the T20 World Cup semi-final, India and England faced each other once again. Bethell was able to come out as the lone warrior for the England cricket team in this game.
He scored a ton in the chase, almost taking England to the win. But he still fell short, as his century came in a losing cause. However, something almost similar happened in the second T20I of the India tour of England. The English team suffered a collapse early in the game, as they were down three wickets at the score of 51.
But this time, Jacob Bethell came out to be the superstar for the team. He went on to score 76 runs off 46 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes in the chase of 191 runs. With his dominant batting style, England was able to win the game and take a lead in the series.

Jacob Bethell completing his redemption arc was something unexpected. But the Indian fans would be happy that this match winning knock from Bethell didn't come during the semi-final of the T20 World Cup.
