Manchester United have gone to Juventus over separate talks with the idea of signing striker Mario Mandzukic. The two sides are already discussing a potential swap deal for Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, but with Mandzukic looking to play more, a move to Old Trafford just might be on the cards.

With Romelu Lukaku talking about his desire to move to Italy and play football, Manchester United have started the search for a new striker. But with his move to Inter Milan going nowhere and Juventus hijacking the move, it seems that a chance has popped up for the Red Devils.

With the two sides now discussing a swap deal for Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala, Manchester United have started a separate discussion over Mario Mandzukic. The Mirror has reported that the Red Devils are very keen on bringing the Croatian, who is looking for more game-time and is open to a move despite signing a new deal only in April.

Football Italia further reports that Mandzukic’s main issue is his game-time, with the 33-year-old making just 25 appearances Serie A. That was under former manager Massimiliano Allegri, with his situation now unclear under new manager Maurizio Sarri. Manchester United, on the other hand, have been linked with a move for the Croatian striker in the past, but nothing has come of it.

But now with Romelu Lukaku having already come to an agreement with Juventus over his wages at the club, that does leave Manchester United without a target man. The Mirror further adds that the Croatian’s wages and his transfer fee will not be too high and that has pushed him up the shortlist at Old Trafford.
